Sailing and Full Moon Party
11/16/13 - 11/22/13
S/V Zenaida - 51' mono-hull - 4 passengers

Every month on the full moon there is a fun beach party in Trellis Bay on Beef Island, BVI. Over this week the full moon will be on Sun. the 17th which gives us plenty of time to explore the BVI after the party. Here is a sample itinerary for the week:

  • 11/16 - Arrive St. Thomas and board boat at American Yacht Harbor. Explore Red Hook, St. Thomas and spend night at dock in American Yacht Harbor.

  • 11/17 - Early start today so we can sail to Sopers Hole, Tortola to clear customs and then continue on to Trellis Bay for the full moon party.

  • 11/18 - Leave Trellis Bay and sail to Virgin Gorda to see the unusual geologic formation known as "The Baths". This landmark shows evidence of the island's volcanic origins, as huge granite boulders lie in piles on the beach, forming scenic grottoes that are open to the sea. After we explore "The Baths" and have lunch we will sail to Manchaneel Bay, Cooper Island for the night.

  • 11/19 - Leave Manchaneel Bay and sail to Salt Island for lunch and snorkeling on the wreck of the Rhone. The Rhone was a Royal mail ship that carried cargo and passengers from England to the Caribbean and sank in a hurricane in 1867. Then continue onto Norman Island the island on which the book Treasure Island was based. We will spend the night here and visit the Willie T, famous boat/bar in the middle of the bay.

  • 11/20 - Sail back through Sopers Hole to Sandy Cay an idyllic Caribbean Island also the filming location for the Corona beer commercials. After lunch and some exploring of the very small Island we will sail to Diamond Cay, Jost Van Dyke where we can take a hike on shore to the Bubbly Pool.

  • 11/21 - Depart Diamond Cay for a short sail to White Bay, also on Jost Van Dyke, to spend the day sipping cocktails at the famous Soggy Dollar Bar. In the afternoon we will sail back around the point to Little Harbor and dock up to Sydney's Peace and Love, a quaint family owned restaurant known for their lobster.

  • 11/22 - Leave the BVI and sail back to St. John to clear customs and then back to Red Hook

$5,000 up to 2 couples in separate cabins with en-suite head and showers.

Christmas and New Years Dive Trip
12/28/13 - 01/03/14
S/V Vagrant - 51' mono-hull - 6-8 Passengers

Escape the cold northern winter and spend the holiday season diving and sailing in the warm waters of the British Virgin Islands. This trip is centered around scuba diving but can be tailored to accommodate some non-divers as well. All divers must be certified and dives will be unguided unless requested otherwise. Discover scuba intro dive for non-divers is available as well as PADI Open Water diver certification course. Please inquire about these options and about the dive sites.

  • 12/29 - Arrive St. Thomas and board boat at American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook. Leave Red Hook and sail to Leinster Bar, St. John for the night.

  • 12/29 - Sail to Sopers Hole, Tortola and clear customs then sail to Salt Island where we will do two dives on the wreck of the HMS Rhone with lunch in between dives. Then sail to Manchaneel Bay, Cooper Island for the night.

  • 12/30 - After breakfast sail to and dive at the Indians then sail over to Angelfish Reef for lunch and our second dive of the day. Then sail to The Bight, Norman Island to ring in the new year at the famous boat/bar the Willi T. Norman Island is the island that the book 'Treasure Island' was based on.

  • 01/31 - Sail to Dead Man's Chest (Yes another 'Treasure Island' reference) and dive the Painted walls. Then sail to Hallovers Bay, Cooper Island and dive Wreck Alley. Spend the night at Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda.

  • 01/01 - Early start today so we can sail down to the the historic Baths on Virgin Gorda before the crowds. The unusual geologic formation known as "The Baths" shows evidence of the island's volcanic origins, as huge granite boulders lie in piles on the beach, forming scenic grottoes that are open to the sea. After we explore "The Baths" and have lunch we will sail to Great Dog for an open water dive and then spend the night at Trellis Bay, Beef Island.

  • 01/02 - No diving today but we will sail to White Bay, Jost Van Dyke for a day of playing on the beach at the famous Soggy Dollar beach bar and then dinner at Sydney's Peace and Love in Little Harbor, Jost Van Dyke.

  • 01/03 - Sail to St. John to clear back into the USVI and then return to Red Hook, St. Thomas.

$1,500 per person in 4 double occupancy cabins. 6 passenger min and 8 max.
(Price includes breakfast,lunch, and 3 diners on board as well as all beverages on the boat.
Tanks and weights are also included dive gear can be rented at an additional cost.)
